Over twelve years of experience in the environmental engineering business.
Audited waste disposal sites for regulatory compliance and practices. Developed software for environmental regulatory-driven site cleanup and environmental management projects. Typical projects include development of a tool to manage wetlands assessment observation, a capital request tracking application for a city water department, and development of a database for environmental impact information about military operations.
Performed product testing during implementation of the Radian Environmental Oracle product at Dow Chemical. Reviewed requirements and system functionality with clients during testing to ensure that the data was migrated into the new system and that all required functionality was present.
Worked with clients to define business processes for waste management. Conducted functional knowledge for the solid waste, environmental management unit, container inventory management, and groundwater monitoring areas within the application. Reworked the solid waste management module of Oracle Environmental software, including analysis, software design and development, and testing.
Performed business process reviews and compliance gap analysis for numerous hazardous waste management facilities and industrial sies, including oil & gas production operations and petrochemical manufacturing plants. These projects involved examining operations and permits for compliance with hazardous/solid waste management, air, water, and spill prevention regulations, as well as an assessment of potential liabilities for clients using the facilities. Developed emergency response and pollution prevention plans for numerous facilities.
Semester student/cooperative-education engineering positions at Conoco (summer onsite at west Texas oil field), HDR Engineering (two semesters in environmental consulting practice), and Shell Western E&P (summer in oil exploration and production environmental compliance department)
