The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeana.eu\/en\/exhibitions\/the-beavers-journey\">digital exhibition titled&nbsp;<\/a><em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeana.eu\/en\/exhibitions\/the-beavers-journey\">The Beaver\u2019s Journey: From Disappearance to Recovery<\/a>&nbsp;<\/em>chronicles the history of the reintroduction of beavers in Scandinavia in the early 1900s. I&#8217;m proud to say that <em>The Beaver\u2019s Journey<\/em>&nbsp;is the first exhibition curated by a Norwegian-based project team on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.europeana.eu\/en\/exhibitions\">Europeana cultural heritage platform<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The exhibition has been created as part of my\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/prosjektbanken.forskningsradet.no\/project\/FORISS\/283523\">\u201cBeyond Dodos and Dinosaurs\u201d project<\/a>, which is funded by the Research Council of Norway.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uis.no\/en\/research\/beavers-moved-sweden\">read a press release<\/a> about the exhibition to find out more about it.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This year will be a special year for my beaver reintroduction research. 2021 marks the 100-year anniversary of the first time beavers were caught in Norway to be set out in Sweden where they had become extinct.
